Dr. Brandt Chamberlain
Dr. Brandt Chamberlain earned his Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education at UCLA, focusing on the social and emotional development of children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, and he has worked with children and families for over 25 years. As a Licensed Psychologist and Head of Psychology & Counseling Services at Professional Child Development Associates in Pasadena, Dr. Chamberlain provides developmental, relationship-based play therapy, using the Floortime/DIR® model as a basis for helping children and families develop engagement, communication, and co-regulation of emotions and behavior. Dr. Chamberlain also provides clinical supervision for clinicians working on licensure in psychology, social work, and marriage and family therapy; he has published research on the education and treatment of children with autism, and he is certified in Floortime/DIR® at the C1 level. As the proud father of a young man with autism, Dr. Chamberlain has a deep respect for the hard work and the emerging joys to be found in parenting: the process of offering the calm, firm, and loving guidance that enables a young person to develop to their fullest potential.
