Dr. Brandt Chamberlain
Dr. Brandt Chamberlain earned his Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education at UCLA, focusing on the social and emotional development of children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. He has worked with children and families for over 30 years, and is especially interested in working with teens and young adults. As a Licensed Psychologist at Professional Child Development Associates in Pasadena, Dr. Chamberlain provides developmental, relationship-based play therapy, using the Floortime/DIR® model as a basis for helping children and their families develop engagement, communication, and co-regulation of emotions and behavior. Dr. Chamberlain also provides supervision for clinicians working on licensure; he has published research on the education and treatment of children with autism, and he is certified in Floortime/DIR® at the advanced level. As the proud father of a young man with autism, Dr. Chamberlain has a deep respect for the hard work and the emerging joys to be found in parenting: the process of offering the calm, firm, and loving guidance that enables a young person to develop to their fullest potential.
