Dr. Julie Brown is a registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94024460) under the supervision of Dr. Magen Todd. Dr. Brown operates from a relational perspective, assisting clients in building narratives and fostering resiliency in the midst of adversity. Her specialty training includes: trauma reprocessing therapies (Havening™ and EMDR), sexual addiction, sexual betrayal, substance abuse, eating disorders, and issues related to diversity and LGBTQIA+ identities. Additionally, Dr. Brown is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist candidate (CSAT c), as she is currently undergoing certification. She has had several years of experience leading psycho-educational groups focused on equipping individuals with mindfulness and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skill sets. Julie is passionate about working with individuals and couples from all different identity backgrounds, standing as an ally and advocate for members of all minority communities.
She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has also received a Masters degree in Theology (MAT) from Fuller Theological Seminary, where her passion for making meaning of the human experience was sparked. These varied avenues of study have enabled her to take a reflective stance on holistic personhood, encouraging clients to become acquainted with the most integrated versions of themselves.
