Dr. Daniel Linscott, clinical psychologist, hails from a diverse professional background that has contributed to his unique developmental approach with clients. His clinical work has ranged from treating pediatric oncology patients all the way to criminally committed individuals suffering from severe mental illness. Dr. Linscott has practiced in the hospital and community mental health setting with individuals ranging in age from 1 to 71.  He has treated patients suffering brain and spinal chord injuries, terminal illness, and severe developmental and behavioral difficulties. Through his research as well as his private practice, Dr. Linscott has also developed specialized skills working with individuals and families in crisis, depression, burnout, men's issues, parenting issues, as well as transitional and vocational difficulties. 
Dr. Linscott’s breadth of experience has uniquely contributed to his theory of practice that encompasses both healthy and abnormal development. He works from an attachment perspective to help clients gain understanding about negative relational patterns and emotional injuries. He provides “here and now” feedback, helping clients learn to respond in healthy ways to intense feelings. Dr. Linscott works to educate clients on their emotional and neurobiological processes, helping them understand both their mind and body responses. His goal is to provide a safe place where clients can learn to integrate strategies that encourage healthy reactions or alternative methods of coping. 
Dr. Linscott completed a B.S. in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University. He went on to complete an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, an M.A. in Theology, and a Doctor of Psychology from the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Seminary, in Pasadena CA. He completed his internship at Providence St. Johns Health Center: Child and Family Development Center and was a postdoctoral fellow at Patton State Hospital.
