Dr. Carrie Dilley
In my practice, as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I emphasize the importance of every individual knowing that they have been understood. I am passionate about helping others know themselves better and I meet my clients wherever they are regardless of age, area of struggle, or disability. My specialization is working with children and adolescents with Neurodevelopmental Delays including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Issues, Behavioral Challenges, Impulse Control Issues, Learning Disabilities, and Regulation and Sensory Processing Disorders. I provide individual, family and group therapy, parent coaching, psychological assessment, and school consultations. My clients range from infants to adults.
My unique treatment approach recognizes that change must take place both in and outside of therapy for spontaneous and generalized growth to occur. I utilize a relational style in combination with behavioral approaches to assist my clients and their families with making positive changes. I recognize that each client has a unique set of strengths and challenges, which is why I offer individualized and highly specialized treatment to facilitate personal growth.
I have extensive experience working in public, non-public, and private school settings, and facilitating parents with navigating the IEP process and requesting school accommodations. I also provide parent coaching and school consultation. I conduct neuropsychological, psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessments related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Sensory Processing Disorders, and differential diagnoses. I also provide Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) evaluations.
Outside of my private practice, I was the founder of the Child and Adolescent Development Special Interest Group for SGVPA, and served as the Chair of this group for the initial five years.
