Paul Clement (1939 - 2014)
The late Paul Clement (1939 - 2014) received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1965. He served on the faculty in the Division of Medical Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, UCLA Medical School from 1965--1967 and on the faculty of the Graduate School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary from 1967--1988. He maintained a part-time private practice from 1966--1988 and has been in full-time private practice since the fall of 1988. His patients have ranged in age from 6 months old to 88 years. Although he has treated a wide range of problems, the most frequent diagnoses in decreasing order of frequency have been depression (dysthymia), adjustment disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, marital problems, major depression, social phonia, specific phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, separation anxiety disorder, and acute stress disorder or posttraumatic stress disorder. He emphasizes evidence-based practice and practice-based evidence.
