Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for Eating Disorders

in Adolescents

Marissa Corona, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing evidence-based psychological treatments that have been scientifically supported in their effectiveness. Her training is from Stanford, University of Washington, and USC. Through the internationally renowned Stanford Eating Disorders Program, Dr. Corona gained unique expertise in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults.  She is one of the only certified FBT (Family-Based Treatment/Maudsley) therapist for eating disorders in the Los Angeles area.  In addition to eating disorders, Dr. Corona is well versed in treating anxiety and depressive disorders, and chronic pediatric conditions. Her panel presentation will discuss the foundations of FBT for eating disorders, and will include a brief case example of FBT.
